Electrical Testing and Tagging

Frequent inspection of your electrical systems and appliances is a critical factor in day-to-day health and safety and productivity in the work place.

Inspections involve:

  1. a) Visually inspecting the equipment, appliance or tools for any damage,
  2. b) Electrically testing, with a Portable Appliance Tester
  3. c) Microwave leakage testing
  4. d) 3 Phase & RCD Testing
  5. e) Pass/safe or Fail item in accordance with AS/NZS 3760-2010:
  6. f) Safety Tag equipment or appliance (dated)
  7. g) Full detailed compliance report provided

At Firefox Services we use the Seaward PAT Guard 3 software for Data Collection and Test and Tag Reporting which is one of the most up up-to-date testing systems and our tags will detail all relevant information in accordance with Australian Standard, AS/NZS 3760-2010:

Upon completion we will provide all required documentation, detailed and itemised and compliance report.

What electrical equipment should be inspected, tested and tagged?

All electrical appliances and equipment within any workplace must be tested on a routine basis. Frequency can vary from 3 monthly to 5 yearly depending on the type of equipment and how that equipment is getting used.
